Trailing edge dimmers hold 10 per cent on LED and cost 90 to 180 AED per module; leading edge dimmers stall near 30 per cent and buzz at 100 Hz. Four 4 W downlights present 16 W against a 20 W minimum load, which is the usual cause of flicker.
