Fixtures and lamps covers the specifications printed on a datasheet and felt in a finished room: colour rendering, R9, colour temperature, beam angle, lumens per metre and diffuser losses. The two notes filed here work in the range CRI 80 to CRI 97 and 12 to 140 AED per GU10 lamp.

CRI averages test colours R1 to R8 and leaves saturated red to R9, so a CRI 90 lamp can still return R9 below 20. A specification GU10 at CRI 97 and R9 above 90 costs 90 to 140 AED and delivers 65 lm/W against 95 lm/W at CRI 80.

A worktop strip belongs within 40 mm of the cabinet front edge, at 800 to 1000 lm/m for about 500 lux on a 600 mm worktop, in 3000 K at CRI 90 with R9 above 50. An opal diffuser in a 16 by 8 mm profile costs 30 AED per metre.
